Instagram PAD

Like my title? PAD is short for Photo A Day, in case you were wondering ;) I am holding true to my daily photographs - It's been hard and I think I've been lacking in the creativity department, but this is what I've got. Here's the first set of my other photos for you to look back on as well.

These particular images, like my title says, are from Instagram - which is really the coolest thing since sliced bread. Unfortunately, if you don't have a smart phone, then I guess you don't have access to my instagram set of photos. BUT, if you do, please feel free to look me up. IMNOTCHELSEA

Thanks for glimpsing at my photo-a-day collection again ;) I'm going to do some shameless promoting again and send you to my little small business - Chelsea Photographie page :) On that note, if you've been looking here for photography updates, I'll be moving back to the Des Moines area! This means I am STILL willing to travel (albeit not that far because I'll be busy with school most the time), but the majority of my areas will be limited to Ames, Des Moines, Ankeny, WDM, Johnston, Urbandale, etc.

Arnold and I took a fun little trip to the Amana Colonies the other day. We didn't really do much other than walk around and appreciate the quaint town. AND have an amazing family style lunch (lots of food). I should have taken pictures of the feast. If you're ever there, I recommend going here (Colony Inn). It's probably a tad bit pricey, but for the food and such it's definitely worth it. Other than that, the cute little shops have a lot to offer, and the wine selection is amazing. I'm not much for wine, but this was good. :)

I've been doing more (modeling?) if that's what you want to call it. And it's been lazy me again forgetting to put up pictures. I just wanted to share some of my favorite. LOVE them. Hope to do more with her in the future, and of course her photographs are inspiration for my own!

I need to be better and more consistant with my blog updating. SO, I think I'm going to start being more documentative (is that a word?) with all of my daily things. I also think I'm going to give this blog a makeover :)

My little sister got married this past weekend! 04.01.2012. It was beautiful and I was lucky enough to be asked to be one of her bridesmaids. It's weird having both of my siblings married before me :) I took some pictures just cause I like to. Maybe someday I'll be a pt. time vet and a pt. time photographer ;)

Wow, my last few posts have been nothing but photoadays! I'm not even THAT busy, so I have no excuses except blogging is the last thing I push myself to do. But, speaking of blogging, I've started one for the veterinary clinic I work at. I figure it's a nice and easy way to spread the educating word of vet med to all! So if you want to look at it, click on this awesome link right HERE. I'm pretty excited about it. I'll be posting weekly with informative and entertaining stuff that is accurate and current! Couldn't get any better than that.

Is it August yet? I'm more than ready to be starting school again, to be WELL on my way into vet school and moving on with my life. I'm a nerd (like I've said before), so school is fun for me. I'm sure once I get into the swing of things I'll probably start bitching and complaining about all my tests, homework, and lack of sleep. We'll see. :)

I'm doing another photoaday. April :) This time I'm doing the same one with my camera and my iPhone via instagram. One thing I've learned with the photoaday challenges is that it's just that. CHALLENGING. I constantly have to push and remind myself to get a picture that day and like Julie said, once actually taking the picture becomes a factor, all the day light is gone. That's one craptastic thing about working all day. I wish I had more daylight time to do what I want. Like now. I have the afternoon off, but I'm inside catching up on work. Lame.

I get sidetracked easily, so back to the April Challenge. I found it from this lady. She's a blogger from Australia and has really awesome challenges and picture advice. I of course read it.

.decisions.

I thought it would be somewhat appropriate to post about my upcoming life decisions because they will be affecting me A LOT. So, I have officially decided to go back to school and pursue being a veterinarian. I've also made the choice to get my bachelors in Animal Science rather than just get the rest of my pre-vet classes, which will take me probably twice as long, but I figure why not. THEN after doing that, it's time to apply for the actual Vet school. Pretty nerve-wracking. Come August, I'm going to be a student again. Goodbye Cedar Rapids, hello Ames ;) I'm kinda nerdy in the fact that I am SO EXCITED to go back.

I've kinda always wanted to pursue this, but sometimes life gets in the way and you have to put your dreams aside for some reason. Now, I get to FINALLY do it. (I'm sorry for all the capslock shocks, but I am too excited and feel that capitalizing words gets my point across better.) To be a doctor and help animals more and spend more of my time making a difference in their life is so cool to me. Plus, animals are fascinating and studying them would be great.

.lately.

I have been so busy, that I have completely forgotten two friday updates! Eeek. Oh well. I couldn't really think of a topic anyway. But in this time I have been hibernating and working. We haven't really been doing much except trying to keep warm inside! I'm okay with that... aside from having a horrible case of cabin fever. Here's some pictures as of late:

Just some more cat pictures. I've got a bajillion more where those came from, but that's the gist of it. KitKat are becoming new best friends and Izzy still kinda hangs out and does her own thing. Recently, I had another opportunity to foster a cat in need, but unfortunately due to Chunk being really young still and KitKat stressed out from the last group of fosters, I had to turn this guy down. No worries, I'll be fostering more as soon as Chunk is old enough =)

On another note, I finally decided to  go out and have fun in this weather! My cabin fever was getting so bad and I was in such need of fresh air. Andy, Arnold, and I decided to go out on a hike. I had layers of clothing on, so it all went smoothly. Here's some pics from that:
